The Prince Dyke Memorial Theatre is named after a native of Eastport who died tragically in 1970 (see plaque just outside
the entrance to the theatre). It was a movie theatre in the 1980s and 90s, but is now is a 200-seat sloped theatre with a stage
and state-of-the-art sound and light equipment which is controlled from a booth at the back of the theatre. It is a facility suitable for dramatic productions, concerts, readings and multi-media presentations.
The theatre provides a lobby/reception area with bar service, space and special entry for wheelchairs with wheelchair access to the stage, air conditioning, and comfortably plush sloped seating with seats numbered for special reservation.
